TikTok CEO, Vanessa Pappas is pleading with Instagram and Facebook to “publicly join our challenge and support our litigation”. As the company is currently facing an executive order from the Trump administration that says it will prevent people from having to download the app. Starting from the 20th of September, which is tomorrow.
The latest order was being announced by the Department of Commerce in the morning on Friday. Also, it states importantly that people are not permitted to download TikTok. Or even WeChat starting form the 20th of September. TikTok will not stop operating in the U.S. for those who have installed the app already. However, future downloads are not allowed at all.

The Trump Administration to TikTok
