Microsoft has now upgraded its Launcher app for Android to its version 6, thereby boosting the software with a great visual overhaul as well as an upgraded performance even with its recent functionalities.
The Android version 6 of its Launcher app possesses an improved dark mode, app icon, as well as a daily wallpaper feature made by Bing. Version 6 of the Launcher app also has some customized icons and it can also function so well in landscape orientation.
It also includes general performance improvements, as well as a personalized news feed which updates for the whole day. Thanks to a modernized codebase that allows for a little battery drain and a very fast loading.
The Microsoft Launcher app has always remained an amazing experiment for Microsoft, thereby giving the company space on the world’s largest mobile platform. As well as a place to explore how Windows combines or join with Android. However, with its newest updates, it seems like it is providing a space for the yet to be launched Microsoft’s most ambitious Android. That is the “Dual-screen Surface Duo”.
Although, Microsoft revealed the Surface Duo last year. It says it will be releasing the device which runs on the Android ending of this year (2020). The latest Microsoft Launcher app seems like a test runs for some of the device’s attractiveness.
Also, the addition of a landscape mode is a very great option for the dual-screen Surface Duo. Trust me! the updated Microsoft Launcher app is really a wise start if truly you want a clue of what Microsoft will make with its first Android device.
If you want to download the app, you can go to Google Play Store on your Android phone to download and install the app.
